Items Needed to Furnish an Apartment
Furniture
- Tables: In decent condition, not deeply scratched or marred, suitable size for an apartment. Glass top at the discretion of OTSY.
- Dressers: In very high demand. All drawers required and all drawers must function properly. Those that need minor repairs at the discretion of OTSY. No large dressers.
- End tables/night stands/coffee tables: Lesser demand. Must be in decent condition. Glass top at the discretion of OTSY.
- Sofas: under 72”, no sofa beds, no futons.
- Carpets: Should not exceed 10 X 12′. Must be clean and not worn.
- Mattresses and Box Springs: Twins are most needed, then full then queen. No stains. Please remove mattress pads. King size not accepted. OTSY inspects for bed bugs.
- Bed Frames: Need twin, full and queen frames. Metal are preferred. OTSY will accept a limited number of headboards, footboards, side boards. No bunk beds.
- Lamps: Most lamps accepted. OTSY prefers small, lightweight lamps.
- Bedding: Twin, full, queen sheets, comforters, mattress pads. No king size. No stains. New bed pillows.
- Bath : Bath mats, shower curtains and hooks, towels, hand towels, and washcloths.
Kitchen items:
- Appliances: Hand mixers, small microwaves, coffee makers, toasters, crockpots, and room fans.
- Dishes, etc.: Bowls, coffee mugs, silverware, pots, pans, cooking utensils, measuring cups, bakeware, storage containers, colanders, and dish towels. No stemware, beer glasses or mugs.
- Cleaning items: Swiffer dry mops, vacuum cleaner – clean with at least one bag, unless bagless.
